YALE SPLICING FID

This fid uses a wire mesh sock to grip the rope end during splicing. It works like a Chinese finger trap. The wire sock is attached a tubular fid that makes hollow braid splicing very easy. It is very useful for splicing hollow braid rope. It is designed for rope from 10mm to 12mm in diameter.
